Title :フッ素四ケイ素雲母ナノシート液晶とポリ-N-イソプロピルアクリルアミドの複合化による異方性ヒドロゲルの合成

Abstract :Anisotropic hydrogels were synthesized by radical polymerization of N-isopropylacrylamide in the liquid crystalline aqueous colloids of fluortetrasilicic mica (FTSM) nanosheets. As the concentration of FTSM and/or chemical crosslinker (N,N’-methylenebisacrylamide) increased, the swelling degree at equilibrium decreased, while the gels became more elastic but more brittle. The gels synthesized in a thin glass capillary showed unilateral orientation of the optical axis over whole the gel domain (several cm)due to concentrically aligned nanosheets in the cylindrical gel. Birefringence index 􏖝􏈽increased as the nanosheet concentration increased. The diameter of the capillary and the lateral size of the nanosheets also affected 􏖝􏈽. Due to the anisotropy in the structure of the hybrid gels,the gels also showed anisotropy in thermally-induced volume phase transition at around 34℃ upon increasing the temperature. The degree of shrinkage as well as its anisotropy basically decreased as the content of FTSM increased.
